About WRAPT

Who We Are

WRAPT Wildlife Carers Townsville is a volunteer-run wildlife rescue and rehabilitation group. We care for sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife across Townsville, and we support the carers who look after them with resources, training, advocacy and crisis response.

Our 24/7 hotline, 0474 630 785, connects members of the public directly with a trained WRAPT rescuer, any time of the day or night.

The Story in Our Logo

1. 1

The WRAPT name, in royal blue

Royal blue is our primary colour and our public face. It also stands for the quiet dignity of the work: doing right by every animal, at any hour, whether or not anyone is watching.

2. 2

   The rising sun, in yellow

A new day and a new chance at life, which is what we give every injured and orphaned animal in our care. Yellow also stands for a new approach: our drive to keep learning and keep improving, through training and education.

3. 3

   Castle Hill, in orange

Townsville's Castle Hill marks our home base. Orange stands for home and for our people: the members, carers and volunteers who make WRAPT what it is.

4. 4

   The Saint

Castle Hill's signature Saint, the little white figure with a halo. It keeps us grounded in our home roots.

5. 5

The earth and grass, in green

Earth and nature, the root of everything we do. Green is the heart of our mission: native wildlife, and the habitat we work to return them to.

6. 6

   The wallaby

The black silhouettes represent the species we care for. The wallaby is the "Wally's" in our name.

7. 7

   The kangaroo

The "Roo's" in our name, and one of the species our carers look after.

8. 8

   The possum

The "Possum's" in our name, climbing over the P, and one of the species our carers look after.

Our Colours

Four colours, taken straight from the logo, run through everything WRAPT does.
